We were so glad that the rain cancelled our outdoor plans. That is after we stumbled upon Mt. Mann Jewelers and had a great time getting a tour of his shop and learning about minerals from Mr. Mann. He then recommended we visit the Maine Mineralogy Sluice and that was a blast! Bryan helped make it a great time by teaching us what to look for and describing the minerals. It was great for a rainy day activity but next year we will be back rain or shine! Thanks for a fun time.

9 of us went on the mining adventure digging and sifting through stones and rocks- the caves themselves were fantastic and the host Seabury fun and inspiring- we had a great time and highly recommend it for a great family and friend outing.

Clare and I loved the time we spent with Seabury learning all about the mining industry and the minerals and rocks we found in the rock hounding part of the experience. We enjoyed the time getting dirty finding specimens of each of the minerals mined. Thanks Seabury and folks, if you want a fun and valuable, educational experience...take in this tour!!!!

Clare and I enjoyed a wonderful afternoon with Seabury hounding for minerals and learning all about the mines. It was the most educational hands on learning experience we have ever had. You will be hard pressed to find anything better! If you like to get dirty and explore what the earth has to offer you, this is the experience you NEED to have!

The mine tour was great and the guide very knowledgable. My family and I had a great time. Lots of nice people helped me as I have trouble walking. Found lots of cool rocks!

Went to the mine with my daughter and nephew. Both enjoyed the experience and were eager to dig to find a hidden "treasure".

I just have to say that we have spent the last four weekends digging Gems and have had a great time, Jim & Helen at Gem Digs are the best two people you could ever meet. Everyone that we have dealt with have been very helpful. It's a place that I have been telling everyone about with pride and plan on spending lots of time here. THANK YOU!

Visited during early August 2007. My wife and children really enjoyed the rockhounding--I had trouble finding the blue stones due to color blindness. Found it fascinating. Amazing to witness the variety of geology.

We learned about the mine tour in late 2006 and it was on our list of priorities for our 2007 vacation. The interactive experience exceeded our expectations. Seabury made it truly fun as well as educational. He is so knowledgable about the mine and the minerals found there. We were looking at the outcroppings on the turnpike on our way home today and pointing out the composition of the rocks. Traveling I-95 will never be the same! Thanks again for a very fun and educational day. We have a new hobby!
